Fill Greenhouse applications from your resume

Greenhouse is the applicant tracking system used by many technology companies. Its application is a single page: contact details, resume, links, and the employer’s own questions. The ApplyMaster Chrome extension fills the form for you on the employer’s own site. You check every answer and press Submit yourself.

Free to install. Works with a free ApplyMaster account.

On Greenhouse

What ApplyMaster fills on Greenhouse

  • Fills your name, email, phone, location and links (LinkedIn, website, GitHub).
  • Chooses answers in Greenhouse’s searchable dropdowns by typing and picking the matching option, the way you would.
  • Picks your city from the location suggestions Greenhouse offers.
  • Attaches your resume, and pastes your cover letter where the form has a box for it, when you have written one for that job in ApplyMaster.
  • Works on Greenhouse forms embedded in a company’s own careers page, too.

How it works

Applying on Greenhouse with ApplyMaster

  1. 1

    Add the extension

Install ApplyMaster from the Chrome Web Store, sign in to a free ApplyMaster account and upload your resume. That is where your answers come from.

  2. 2

    Open the Greenhouse application

Go to the job on job-boards.greenhouse.io, boards.greenhouse.io and company careers pages that embed a Greenhouse form. A “Fill with ApplyMaster” button appears on the form.

  3. 3

    Fill it, then read it

Press the button. ApplyMaster fills what it can answer honestly and highlights drafted answers in amber so you read them first. Anything left for you is listed in its panel.

  4. 4

    Submit it yourself

You press Submit and complete any CAPTCHA. When Greenhouse confirms, the job moves to Applied in your ApplyMaster tracker, with a receipt.

What it never does

You stay the one who applies

  • Never presses Next or Submit for you, and never solves CAPTCHAs.
  • Never answers voluntary questions about gender, ethnicity, veteran or disability status.
  • Never ticks boxes that agree to terms or give consent on your behalf.
  • Never writes answers the employer asks to be in your own words.

Questions

Greenhouse autofill: common questions

Does ApplyMaster submit my Greenhouse application for me?

No. ApplyMaster fills the Greenhouse form on the employer’s site; you check every answer and press Submit yourself. It never solves CAPTCHAs.

Is the extension free?

Yes. It is free to install from the Chrome Web Store and works with a free ApplyMaster account, where your resume and answers live.

What does it leave for me to answer?

Voluntary questions about gender, ethnicity, veteran or disability status; boxes that agree to terms or give consent; and any question the employer asks you to answer in your own words. Anything it cannot answer honestly from your profile is left blank and listed for you.

Where do the answers come from?

From your ApplyMaster profile and the resume you uploaded. Work authorisation is only answered for the country you told ApplyMaster about; for any other country the question is left to you.

Does it keep track of what I applied to?

When Greenhouse shows its confirmation, ApplyMaster records the job in your tracker as Applied, with a receipt of what you sent and the employer’s reference number when there is one.
